With all MineTan products, you can choose how dark you want to go, simply by deciding when you shower. So if you are looking for a more natural tan, shower after 1 hour. Leave it on for 2 hours to go darker. If you want deeper, darker colour – leave it on for even longer! It's like having 3 different tans in one product!

Spray Tanning Process

BEFORE TANNING
To ensure that you receive maximum benefit from your MINETAN spray-on tan, it is important that you exfoliate your body prior to application, to remove any remaining dry skin cells. Pay particular attention to any rough areas like knees, elbows, ankles and the tops of your toes. Do not apply moisturizer, make-up or perfume to your skin prior to getting your spray tan as this may reduce the effectiveness of your tan.
It is also best to shave or wax at least 24 hours prior to receiving your spray tan.
ON THE DAY OF YOUR TAN
Wear suitable tanning attire during your appointment. We suggest a disposable G-String or bikini for women and dark shorts or swimmers for men.
We also recommend that you wear dark, loose fitting attire immediately after your appointment. Minor rub off will easily wash out of most fabrics, whereas some lighter coloured materials, including leather, may stain.
AFTER TANNING
Once your tan is applied you must leave it to dry completely. Your MINETAN technician will ensure that your application is dry before you leave, but as a precaution, do not wet your skin for at least five hours after the tanning session.
Showering the following morning is the best option. We recommend that you do not exercise or perspire excessively between the tanning and the showering phase. When showering, do not be concerned if some of the initial bronzer washes off - this is part of the tanning process and your skin will continue to tan.
Appling moisturiser after showering will reduce the rate at which your skin exfoliates your tan, extending the life of your tan. Avoiding long baths, spas and extended swimming sessions will also help prolong the life of your spray tan. And of course avoid any products designed to exfoliate your skin.
PRECAUTIONS
If you feel you have highly sensitive skin, or you have any doubts, we recommend a small localised test spray to check your skin compatibility before having your full MINETAN spray.
The MINETAN spray-on tanning solutions do not contain a sunscreen. Please make sure you apply sunscreen to prevent sunburn when outdoors. Book in now for a stunning, completely natural looking tan.
